The Reme HALO Air Purifier
Last week we discussed how to drastically improve indoor air quality by using a combination of air filtration and purification. This week’s post will discuss how the Reme HALO air purifier works to purify the air and help your air filters do a better job.
How the Reme HALO works
Unlike passive air purifiers that require air to pass through them, the Reme HALO is an active system. When installed in ductwork, it produces and distributes hyrdo-peroxide ions throughout your living space. These ions attach to airborne contaminants and neutralize them on contact. This method is entirely safe, and as a matter of fact, it’s the same process that nature used to purify outdoor air. For example, did you know that the beautiful smell you experience after a summer thunderstorm results from the release of hydro-peroxides?
An added benefit to using this system is how well it works in conjunction with a high-quality air filtration system. Hydro-peroxides “coagulate” or stick to airborne contaminants, giving them more mass. The increased mass makes it easier for air filters to trap particles.
You can count on the Reme HALO to:
- Kill up to 99% of bacteria, mold, and viruses
- Reduces sneeze germs by 99% in the time a sneeze can reach three feet.
- Kill 99% of viruses on surfaces
- Help your air filters work better.
- Reduces or eliminates cooking, pet, and other odors
- Unlike portable units that only work in one room, the Reme HALO is a whole-home solution.
The Reme HALO must be properly calibrated to your indoor environment to be effective. That’s why it’s vitally important to have it installed by a qualified HVAC contractor .
